Curriculum

A. Introduction

Student at The Ark Theological Seminary, Abuja, Nigeria working toward the award of certificates (Diplomas, Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate), must complete certain basic courses . These basic courses are of a general nature and give the students a general background and type of knowledge considered for the field intended.

B. Duration

a. The Diploma programme is two year’s duration and 102 credit hours required for graduation (2 section of 4 semesters)
b. The Bachelor programme is four year’s duration and 160 credit hours required for graduation (4 section of 8 semesters )
c. The Postgraduate – Diploma programme is one year, six month duration, 86 credit hours required for graduation (3 semesters)
d. The Master programme is two year’s duration and 102 credit hours required for graduation (2 section of 4 semesters)
e. The Doctorate is two year’s duration and 102 credit hours required for graduation (2 section of 4 semesters)

Agape Christian Theological Seminary has five area divisions of studies which reflect on the course numbering; they are

F. Grading and Scoring policy

a. 91 – 100 ‘A+’ = Excellent
b. 81 – 90 ‘A’ = Very Good
c. 71 – 80 ‘B+’ = Good
d. 61 – 70 ‘B’ = Good
e. 51 – 60 ‘C’ = Credit
f. 45 - 50 ‘E’ = Pass
g. 0 – 44 ‘F’ = Fail

G. Scoring

a. Class attendance - 10%
b. Continuous Assessment - 30%
c. Examination - 60%
d. Total 100%
